Welcome to a paradise of unspoiled fishing. The waters surrounding the Dry Tortugas abound with life, and we specialize in getting you out there to experience it. Captain Jeremy Edwards has been operating overnight fishing charters on these waters for nearly ten years, and has an outstanding success record. There are very few quality options open to the adventurous angler for long range fishing trips, and most are booked a year in advance. We have just added a new vessel to our fleet, and she has a wide open charter schedule. Now is your chance to get out there in comfort, speed, and safety.
We are offering overnight 30 hour fishing charters, on our new 33′ custom long range sportfish. The boat is a new build, with over the top safety and comfort features. Air Conditioned cabin, sleeps 5 in bunks, full head and shower, state of the art Lowrance HDS electronics with side scan sonar. We are also fast, cruising over 20kts. The site is new, the boat is taking her first trip May 1st, and that month is filling fast. I wanted to get a booking engine up, and as much info as I can to get the word out. I’ll update often as the boat progresses through her final layout and rigging.
Typically we get underway around 8-10 AM, and head west. Depending on sea conditions the ride out to the first drop is between 1.5 hours to 5 hours. During the first day I like to give the option of deep dropping for big tiles and groupers, trolling for hungry Pelagics, bouncing around the patch reefs for grouper, or focusing on the mutton snapper. As the sun begins to set, we start the prime mutton time. All night long we fish hard for the pink ladies, peaking at the dawn bite next day. Usually around 70% of the muttons caught on my trips come at night, so staying awake is key! After that, we can either troll home (if we have our snapper/grouper limits filled) or do some great yellowtailing. I prefer to save the ‘tails for the end of the trip because its easy to limit out on them very quickly. Our trip duration entitles us to a two day bag limit. Generally we return to the dock around 2-5pm depending on conditions, catch totals and departure times. We are very flexible in when we leave and return, but prior communication is very important.
